Abstract

The global warming is the increment in the average temperature of the earth´s surface, the atmosphere, and oceans, as a consequence of human activities, where companies play an important role, contributing directly or indirectly in the global warming. Currently, companies are more aware and committed to reduce the pollution. Having the distinctive CSR, that is, the Corporate Social Responsibility, companies are not only focused to generate wealth, but also provide a benefit to their employees, suppliers, workers´ families and the environment. In 2017, CEMEFI reported that México has 1505 companies from different sectors, with the distinctive CSR. In this paper we analyze generalities of global warming, what is the meaning of the distinctive CSR, what need a company to get it, and how they contribute to the reduction of climate change.
