Dozens of books, articles and monographs were written about the revolutionary year 1968, especially when the 40th anniversary came, or, as now, the 50th anniversary. This article offers a brief reflection on the revolutionary year of 1968 with a global point of view linked to the local vision, as traditionally proposed by several European or American authors. The reflection is centered on the description of the youth culture of the 60s, which at the end of the decade led to student protests in France, called the French May 1968, which was the first of this year among other demonstrations practically in the whole world. Do not forget that the mobilizations of students had an important trigger: the protest against the war in Vietnam.
