Abstract

Due the technological era we live in, it is necessary to motivate the student’s curiosity to understand the different systems and in this case the study of the mathematics is an important tool. Mathematics are important not only as the basis for the different other sciences but also because they present a common language and help the analysis between the other subjects. The additional advantage for the people that follow mathematics courses is that they acquire a logical and organized way of thinking that can be applied to any human activity, and is the main reason that is recommended its study. Practical examples of the arguments against mathematics are discussed and also the need to change the school curricula with different methods to encourage students to study and enjoy mathematics.
