In this article we present some advances of the results of a study that is under development, whose objectives are to approach the self-perception that 200 older adults (100 men and 100 women) have about their aging and the way in which they express themselves about this process; in other words, we seek to know the sense or meaning that they give to old age, from their own life experience, as well as to detect possible gender differences in these perceptions.
