This article is part of the field experience developed for the research work of the master's degree in Development of Human Potential, supported by the Community Services Educational Center (CESCOM) León, where I was in charge for six years.
The work recovers the words of two university students (El and E2), who performed their social service at CESCOM with different attitudes from the beginning, showing how both manage to have an encounter with people living in poverty and exclusion. On the other hand, the vision is complemented with the interview of a person from the community (EPC) who participates very closely in contact with the students who come to provide their social service.
