The following document aims to highlight the main effects of the strong influence of fear in the Cold War (1945-1989), as an ideological basis, a tool to control the masses, and as an impulse for the strong rise of nuclear weapons. Likewise, the aim is to create an analysis that demonstrates how fears are implicit in the life of contemporary society, and how these, like society and human environments, are evolving.
