The purpose of this article is to provide some theoretical guidelines to allow the analysis, reflection, questioning, and in its case, the re-thinking, about the pedagogical fundamentals that could be behind the Educational Reform that has been implemented in our country. Specially, the so called New Educational Prototype and its “innovative” proposals, as it is the case of the “socio-emotional abilities”, “the school at the center”, “the curricular autonomy”, and “the autonomy of management”, that allow to make pertinent decisions about its discussion and its practice.
