Abstract

The text is composed of three parts. In the first, on the music and the cinema, a note is presented on how has been related in a historical form the music to the cinema; as well as the presentation of a general thesis that associates the emotional memory of the movie buff with the music heard in a film. In the second part, Engineering in Social Communication of music in the cinema, we propose the basic thesis of the text, cinema and music make us better people, teach us to live, our life is put into the form of what we perceive and remember on the screen. Music is central to the cinematographic effect, the cultural industry knows and has developed over a century. The third part, Jazz in the cinema, presents a note about the presence of jazz in the North American cinema, and of how that presence has constructed the present general stereotypes that the audience movie buff has of the jazz and the jazz players.
