Abstract

The current paper briefly analyzes the narrative and contextual content originated from the science fiction films “They Live” (1988) and “Starship Troopers” (1997). It revises topics like manipulation, propaganda and social context, looking at how they allow reflections about contemporary society and the current state of film industry.
