Abstract

The main objective of this article is to describe some scientific and technological advances reached by the man which led him to cross the barriers of macro-universe and the micro-universe. Experiments in microgravity conditions and molecular level experiments have led man to improve the quality of their health and safety. At the time the light changes from being an object of study to a technological tool, science has an explosion in their development potential. This phenomena promotes the creation of two new fields of study: bionanotechnology and biophotonic. Moving from the concept of scientific specialization to multidisciplinary science, represents the current challenge in the training of students and academics, who have in their hands the responsibility of the scientific and technological development of man. This emphasizes the importance in the academic proposal made by the Universidad Iberoamericana León, creating the first undergraduate program in Bionanotechnology.
