Abstract

Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) have been object of study and analysis from diverse approaches, mainly the economic one. On the contrary, this article aims to understand, analyze and display from a social perspective the importance of the indigenous entrepreneur, while considering the economic approach not only seen from a capitalist point of view as has been commonly done, which considers competitiveness, productivity, the per capita income it generates and thus, the contribution to Gross Domestic Product, neglecting the human and social part it represents, therefore I dare to suggest that it is one of the problems or limitations of the governmental system when designing socioeconomic programs for this sector.
