Abstract

Towns harassed by international enterprises to exploit their natural resources, are compelled for resistances that are not always successful as those in the community of Ignacio Zaragoza, municipality of Olintla, Puebla. Because of the solidarity from several civil organizations, this town found in its resistance a space for political education and could defeat in a short time one giant of the national economy, Grupo México, who attempted to impose a hydroelectric station in Ajajalpan river, close to that community. However, the political system has shown its preference to favor enterprising groups, making laws to encourage them and threatening the defense achievements.
