The Learning and Research Resources Center (CRAI, for its acronym in Spanish) of Universidad del Rosario has been recognized as one of the pioneers in the promotion of open science. This paper presents the case of the center: its experience and support to open science, through its services and the implementation of resources such as the institutional repository of research data; for this purpose, the topics of open science, funding, as well as policies and manifestos are previously contextualized. In addition, the topic of libraries and open science —from the environment of services, competencias and librarian profiles— is analyzed. The results show that several factors have influenced CRAI to successfully support open science in its institution; among those that stand out is the leadership, which is reflected in the construction of collaborative networks with all university departments and the presence of components such as: institutional culture around open science, institutional open science policy and constant funding; this has allowed it to always remain at the forefront.
