Abstract

In a context in which problems such as public insecurity, social polarization, increasing levels of inequality, growing distrust of institutions, and the course of various electoral processes that will culminate in the upcoming July elections are becoming more acute, it seems to us of utmost importance to reflect on the current state of our democracy through a broad and comprehensive vision. We hope that the different contributions will contribute to the expressed purpose, foster a greater understanding of democracy and motivate us to a better citizen participation in order to contribute to the construction of the just and dignified society to which we aspire.
