Abstract

This work aims to analyze some of the strategies that the Siemens corporation has followed to expand both its learning capabilities and those linked to digital innovation. It is a case study that documents why this corporation has managed to be considered one of the technological leaders in the context of Industry 4.0. As a result of the investigation, it is found that this international company, as part of its strategy, has decentralized many plants linked to its business lines outside of Germany and has also carried out multiple collaboration agreements and join ventures. Likewise, it continuously trains its staff, establishes links with educational institutions and promotes and has internally promoted a corporate culture that facilitates work learning, flexibility and adaptation to changes in the context.
