Abstract

We open this issue of Entretextos to bring our readers closer to an urgent and necessary question to try to answer: what is the role of the university in the context of competitiveness, in the context of the knowledge society? We hope that the texts published in this issue will stimulate reflections with a fresh look and under a new paradigm that answers and proposes ways to meet the social demands from the universities. The challenge implies finding answers in times in which the contemporary university is developing.
