Hebe Vessuri is an Argentine anthropologist, researcher and professor of Venezuelan nationality. She has participated in numerous important projects in various international institutions, focusing her work on the problems of science and technology learning in developing countries, mainly in Latin America, and their institutionalization processes in the 20th century. Among some honorary positions, he has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Internet Network on Science and Development (Scidev.net); he was a member of the Governing Council of the United Nations University (UNU); he served as Vice-President of the International Union of Anthropological and Ethnological Sciences (IUAES), representing it in the International Social Science Council (ISSC); he chairs the Latin American Scientific Committee of the UNESCO Forum on Higher Education, Research and Knowledge. In 2006 she received Venezuela's National Science and Technology Award.
