Abstract

This article links—through humanist intentions—three concepts that, since capitalist interests discovered that science and technology could become marketable objects, are now discussed in the business world: bioethics, social responsibility, and universal responsibility. It highlights the importance of a humanist reflection to analyze and question the use of Earth's resources and scientific advances from an ethical perspective, emphasizing the need for sustainable and responsible development that prioritizes the well-being of future generations.
