Section Policies
Entretextos publishes and disseminates original and unpublished contributions on various topics and disciplines, resulting from research in the corresponding areas of knowledge. Therefore, we only receive academic papers from outstanding researchers and university students —both from the Ibero León and other institutions—. Student items (undergraduate or postgraduate) are accepted under the following conditions:
* That their tutors or research directors are co-authors.
* That they comply with the guidelines for publication.
Collaborations that have been published, totally or partially, or that are in the process of being published or have been postulated in another journal, will not be admitted.
Contributions that will only be accepted for publication in “Temática section" and in “Abierta section” are:
1. Research articles. Writings that must have solid and relevant theoretical and methodological bases, since they will report the results or findings —practical, theoretical, or theoretical— of the studied phenomenon. The guidelines are set out in the guidelines for publishing. They must contain:
* Introduction or contextualization of the problem.
* Methodology, techniques, or instruments used for the collection of information and its analysis.
* Results of the research, as well as the argumentation and contribution of the author.
* Reflective conclusions.
* Bibliographic references.
2. Bibliographic references. In these writings, the most relevant information on a specific topic will be compiled. Their purpose is to examine, from a certain perspective, the essential and current literature in order to critically discuss contradictory conclusions from different studies, to answer new questions, and to suggest research topics. The guidelines are set out in the guidelines for publishing. Its structure is made up of:
* Introduction, where the question to be answered, is posed (of the subject to be reviewed).
* Methodology in which it is stated how with what criteria and which works will be selected and reviewed.
* Development in which the most outstanding details of the revised literature and the author's contribution through the argued discussion in the analyzed literature are presented.
* Conclusion that is extracted from the review of the evidence which should be a reflexive re-elaboration.
* Bibliographic references analyzed.
3. Case studies. These articles inform, qualitatively or quantitatively, about a phenomenon in its real environment, to verify or generate theory. The guidelines are set out in the guidelines for publishing. Due to their inherent characteristics, there is no specific structure for the presentation of their results; however, it is recommended that the following be included:
* Introduction in which the case is presented, its purpose, and the questions that guided the case.
* Reflection questions that are the axis of reflection of the case. A brief description of the literature on the topic can also be included to help contextualize the question.
* The methods of collecting and analyzing the data obtained from the case.
* The coherent narration of the events of the case with the purpose of exposing the critical events to expose the obstacles faced.
* Lessons and recommendations about the case (can be positive or negative) that will help identify trends and cause-effect relationships.
* The instruments and methods of collection and analysis, as well as the sources consulted (except in cases of confidentiality), among other material considered relevant.
Other types of contributions that will be accepted for publication in the "Review" section are
4. Academic book review. Expository-argumentative text that allows synthesizing and evaluating the content of an academic work. It is, therefore, the space in which specialized editorial novelties are reported. This means that the writer of an academic review has a thorough knowledge of the subject matter of the book and, above all, of the discipline in which it is included. The guidelines are set out in the guidelines for publishing. Its structure is made up of the following parts:
* Source data (title, author, publisher, year).
* Conceptualization of the book (what is the subject, what is the approach, what is the purpose; detailed description and substantiated evaluation of the chapters or topics it deals with).
* Conclusion (what does it contribute to the discipline, positive or negative recommendation).
The reception of the work will be through the OJS, for which they will have to register at the following link: https://revistasacademicas.iberoleon.mx/index.php/entretextos/about/submissions.
