Vieses e discriminações sociais dos algoritmos em Inteligência Artificial

O objetivo deste trabalho é analisar o conceito e a aplicação da Inteligência Artificial (IA) à luz dos possíveis vieses, discriminações e desigualdades ao ser implementada na sociedade. Através de uma pesquisa em repositórios especializados, revisa-se uma série de externalidades negativas dos sistemas de IA, que poderiam se manifestar naqueles grupos e indivíduos que carecem da possibilidade de acesso, não possuem os meios para avaliar a qualidade e veracidade dos dados massivos ou que simplesmente são segregados e/ou discriminados pelos algoritmos devido à sua cor de pele, etnia, gênero ou outro aspecto. Este cenário fomentaria com maior recorrência essas externalidades e até poderia criar novas brechas digitais, sociais, políticas e econômicas. Uma das perguntas-chave que guiaram a pesquisa foi: quais consequências éticas, morais e sociais a presente geração de Inteligência Artificial poderia implicar? A principal contribuição deste artigo é fornecer uma revisão documental e exemplificada com casos particulares a nível internacional sobre o impacto social dessa tecnologia, particularmente sob uma perspectiva das Ciências Sociais.
