Abstract

The purpose of this article is to present the context, global and national, in which minorities or those whose interests are not represented by the Mexican government decided to create and adopt alternative means of communication, already established by the dominant system, as tools or instruments to be heard or organize and empower looking face economic, cultural, and political system that violates their human rights. In addition, the success story of the Zapatista Army of National Liberation movement (EZNL), as a producer and promoter of alternative communication, to expand and publicize their fight and claims will be discussed.
