Nowadays, young people are making use of various technological tools for a wide variety of purposes, including education. The National Pedagogical University, Unit 011 offers the Educational Intervention Bachelor’s degree, and forms professionals to work in several fields related to education. We explore the use of these tools on a daily basis and for educational purposes, taking it as a starting point to tell others about own experiences of the institution. We suggest the use of hosting virtual groups in a social networking platform, in this case Facebook, considering it an alternative to classroom environment with students of this degree. Our recommendations are based on what was collected from the instrument applied, for example: the planning, evaluation and monitoring of the learning process in these types of environments. Virtual environments represent an opportunity for young people who are going through the process of professionalization, allowing collaborative interactions and adaptation to the demands of the knowledge society.
