Mythological thought submerges and emerges from the unconscious to show us a mirror of who we are and what the universe is. In our time we have lost mythological compasses because we consider them unworthy of credence from the viewpoint of factual science. However, using mythology and object relations theory is a valuable tool to understand how the artist goes through a personal journey in his quest to transcend the human plane and reach the divine, immortalizing himself in his work as much as in the spirits he touches on his journey.
