Abstract

It is evident the wear and tear suffered by terms that are used indiscriminately, coming to say everything and nothing. This is the case of the expression "citizen participation", which has been used as a remedy for all ills, from the problems of security, democracy, inequality and even consumer prices.
As in many areas of social reflection, little by little, experts have been narrowing the term based on the concrete experiences that citizens themselves have generated.
This article deals with the reflection of the concept referred to above and proposes to consider party militancy as useful, as problematic or as risky as other forms of citizen participation, understood in a broad sense.
