The contemporary nature of the media constitutes an obstacle to the participation of the population in the construction of citizenship, while at the same time it generates illusions -among its communicants- of participation, co-responsibility and action, through forms of control. In this contribution, we are going to analyze some models and concepts used on a daily basis in order to subsequently propose a formula for communication that favors the integration of the population in free decision-making processes and constitutes them as interlocutors of the various institutions that represent the expressions of power that facilitate and hinder the coexistence of societies in geographical and media territories.
