Abstract

This article addresses the ethical role of the university in knowledge production during times of crisis and social transformation. It examines the relationship between the university and its context, highlighting the need for an ethics of knowledge linked to complex thinking. From a critical perspective, it reflects on the challenges faced by the university in its function of scientific and technical production, as well as its social relevance. It proposes a vision that integrates ethics with interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary knowledge, emphasizing the social responsibility of academic institutions to address contemporary problems and advance toward new possibilities for human coexistence.
