This article offers a critical reflection on the ongoing need for moral commitment in education, especially at the higher level. Drawing on various philosophical perspectives, it examines the role of the university in shaping students’ ethical formation in the face of contemporary challenges. The authors propose a review of curriculum design as an ethical commitment, as well as the articulation of justice and love as fundamental axes of the educational endeavor. Throughout the text, it is argued that moral education must occupy a central place in the university's mission as a response to the current ethical crisis in society.
