Abstract

Financial education is a process that allows for the understanding of financial products, concepts, and risks through the development of skills on financial risks and opportunities. Develop a financial culture to generate incentives of the economic development with financial education will allow that people had better plans for their financial future. It`s supposed that a person with more access to financial education would know and organize their financial plans in short and long time, also they can take advantage of financial instruments to help themselves with the products and services that the institutions are offering. The purpose of this article is to analyze the connection between the financial education and the retirement plans financial products demand, using the method of linear regression, variables such as past duo portfolio, PIB and pension programs and funds. The results support the purpose of the investigation, showing that in fact the financial education has an impact in retirement plans.
