Abstract

Social network analysis is based on disciplinary areas of social psychology, sociology and anthropology, as well as on mathematical analysis of matrices and graphs. It is a structural or socio-metric analysis that allows the recognition of relationship patterns and functions of the main links in an individual's social network. It determines the level of emotional or material support, the dynamics of relationships and the degree of influence. Currently, this analysis has gained relevance for the understanding and intervention in health and nutrition problems.
