Abstract

On the idea of the public free access to the population, regardless of age, gender or social status, and considering that public space ranges from closed buildings and open places, even virtual as in the case of internet spaces. Public art will then be the art developed in these sites and favouring the appropriation of the same, regardless of language and modes of production

Despite the growing virtualization of our worlds on the internet, the city is still a non-replaceable physical substance, its cultural and social attraction lives. Now, more than ever, artists must reflect on its contribution to the image of the city; it is very important for the identification of the inhabitant with his city, and the urban culture.
